Abstract：In recent years, the number of elderly patients with acetabular fracture is increasing, but due to the particularity of the elderly patients’physical condition, bone quality and fracture type, how to choose a reasonable treatment has become a hot spot for clinical research. The treatment principle of acetabular fracture is anatomical reduction, effective fixation and early functional exercise. At present, percutaneous screw fixation, open reduction and internal fixation, total hip arthroplasty and other methods are used in the treatment of elderly acetabular fractures, but how to choose the best surgical treatment is still controversial. The authors summarize the characteristics and progress of surgical treatment of elderly acetabular fractures so as to improve the knowledge of surgeons on surgical treatment of acetabular fractures in the elderly.
